Aww that would be a really hard decision, hopefully a little separation will change things and when he gets reintroduced he turns his attention to the others and gains confidence and keeps them in line to not pick on her.I have decided to separate Peppy from the group. He is a fine rooster, but apricot is having such a hard time with the mating process. Once she submits, she stays like that for so long that others come over and peck her. I though separating her would make reintroducing her worse, so I will separate him and see how it goes. I may have to rehome one of them which really stinks. I like them both so much. But I will do what I think is best. For now, peppy will go into the grow out area (which I had been using for storage) and we'll see how it goes.
Ha! Nice choices, I think you'll love the Dorking. What date did you choose? I need to talk to the husband when he gets home and decide on February or March and what breeds! I think we are going to be at three as well.I was trying so hard to resist! Oops...ordered ex leghorn, OE, and silver gray dorking!! Three is a well restrained order!
