Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Here's a Silver Spangled Hamburg chick the day she came from
Meyer Hatchery. Very healthy and extremely friendly! We haven't
lost a single chicken or duck from them.

These are a few of our adult chickens, all from Meyer Hatchery.
In general, the chickens we have gotten from them are more personable than
the ones from our local farm store, Rural King.

Cute baby and lovely ladies! Do you have any more chick pics?

I know I've been posting a lot so I will limit myself to one pic and link for more tender moments from this week: https://www.backyardchickens.com/g/a/6943731/new-chicks-3-weeks/

Sunbathing, dust bathing, napping :)

I happen to have several chick pictures as we so far have ordered
21 from Meyer Hatchery. This little Buckeye chick is so sweet!

Here are some of the 16 babies we got April 1st.
Your chicks are very cute, by the way! I love it when they
start growing in their feathers.

Thank you all so much for this thread! I am considering ordering from Meyer amongst other hatcheries, it's nice to be able to see actual people's pictures and experiences rather than a few blank faced testimonials

Yay! im also curious what breeds you are considering. Many of us have ordered from a few places and can compare and contrast. Of course I'm not one of them, so I'm really just volunteering others. LOL!

Hehe! I hope everyone had a lovely Easter/Passover/First Full Moon after the Spring Equinox/Spring weekend! I had some old/new friends from Indiana stop by for a visit yesterday afternoon to snuggle our chicks and hens on their way back home. One of them keeps a flock of 20 and was kind of my chicken mentor, now she has chick fever, lol. She was telling us how she only had two left of her original batch from I think 7 years ago, Bathilda and Sybil. And I said "Oh your Dominque and dark Easter Egger". And she said "I love you for knowing that!" Funny how we pronounce many of the breeds differently. I say Uh-mare-uh-KAHN-uh she says Uh-mare-uh-COON-uh, I say Ma-run she says Mare-ans, though I still am not convinced I'm pronouncing it right until I hear a native French speak say it. And of course in the country they call them Dominickers.

It was gorgeous outside and we went on a long walk in the park. I made my first quiche for my parent's Easter meal. Everyone said they liked it, my dad took a second (and the last) piece. It was crustless with bacon, onions and cheese at the bottom, eggs, broccoli and herbs in the middle and more cheese on top. Yum! My son is on spring break, the husband has two days off, so everyone is sleeping in except me who had to let out the chicks and feed them, then ordered more feed online.

Speaking of letting them out, we are going to be going away for a weekend in the fall for a wedding and are planning on purchasing an automatic door for the coop. I know a few of you have them, what brand do you have and are you satisfied with it?

My new chicks from Meyer are supposed to come this week! So excited.

I do not have one. I remember that trsturslf was building some for resale, but that's as much as I can remember. She does have pics of how she made one on her blog (I think).

I ended up ordering from My Pet Chicken, so same thing I guess! I ordered 6 Easter Egger hens, and 3 Australorp hens, they should be shipping the 27th! Thank you all for the help
