Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Oh, I forgot these pictures. I already posted them on the turkey thread, but I wanted to show you guys too, what my husband and son-in-law made for my turkeys yesterday:

Turkey (and chicken) perches!

The saw horses are where the chickens sit to watch Human TV.

Now it will be comfier for their feet, and I think more might be able to fit on at a time.

The babies will be a week old tomorrow. The outdoor chicks are about 3 months old. There are 4 hens, not from Meyer. 2 Cuckoo marans and 2 EE(a black and a splash). Oh, and a guard cat that keeps hawks and other critters away...

Very nice! And really nice brooder space, too.

I don't get it. What is it that makes us chicken folk love to stare and stare at chick photos? I love looking at all the variety you have in there! I think I can still pick out my little favorite with the stripes and the pale down. And I noticed among your bigger chicks, one that looks exactly like my Triscuit.

Did anybody happen to catch the Bizarro comic one day last week that had a "Peep" show, and behind the wooden façade that you paid to look through were a bunch of little fuzzballs? I'm not a fan of Bizarro, but that one was great!

Here are new pics of the 48 new chicks in the brooder. You are seeing todays hatch, last weeks, and a few birds that are a bit older and still need heat.

I know I got 3 more white sultans(female), a penedesenca, a couple splashes- probably marans, a white marans, and a bunch of breeds that have the columbian pattern. No Brahma this time, but looks like at least 10 wyandottes. More EE too.
They mixed the straight run bantams in today, so I picked up a couple MF D'Uccle, 2-3 silkies, a polish. Polish are LF too, so I wont know which they are till they grow out. Some really cool colors. There were a lot of the 5 toed breeds in the bin today. I tried not to get any Dorking, buts its possible...

My poor Kiwi. I separated her last night. I'm pretty sure the reason she's going through such a tough time is that she's molting. Her head was bald months ago and finally filled in. I thought it was from excessive rooster attention. Now her butt is bald. And she's getting picked on. Probably because everyone else molted together in the fall. Well, hopefully it won't be much longer and hopefully it won't be like this every year!

Hi everyone! Joining in if that's ok. We live about 30 minutes from Meyer and I placed my first order last night. We already have 8 chickens that are 10 weeks old and we ordered another 8 plus a Meyer meal deal. I can't wait to pick them up!

Welcome! What breeds do you have and what breeds are you getting?
