Meyer hatchery shipping eggs

i hope i can get a quick response but i ordered hatching eggs from meyer hatchery and on the website i put ship to my address i know this is kind of dumb but in the email confirmation it says: ''We have included phone numbers on the package so the Post Office can call you when your poultry arrives.
Please Note: It's a good idea to call your local Post Office and let them know your expecting a shipment of live birds.'' i need to know which is it.

You call them days ahead of time. They call you the moment they arrive.

Calling the post office when the eggs are shipped helps to insure you get a call when the eggs arrive. I am from a rural part of a town of around 35,000 and have established a report with my post office so not only do they call me, they will call me back if I missed the first call.

Are you asking about how to figure out which post office it will arrive in? If so, as far as I know there isn’t much of a way to know until closer to when they arrive, but I would just call a few (like 2-3) of your nearest and frequent post offices and let them know
