Got a salmon Faverolles female sent to me. I'm a bit worried however. Do Meyers SF tend to run dark? I'm getting some brown wing feathers in and brown stripe down the back. I can get pictures later. I know it's only been a week , just worried I got a roo.

Yep, and she might be very, very small.
They do turn into beautiful ladies though.:)

Yeah, don't even look at that set of feathers, those are lies they'll only freak you out. :)
Your baby is colored almost exactly like the chicks hatched from my little Meyers hen. The one on the left you can see the second layer coming in getting more girlish, one on the right is male.
Here is the little one.

Our 1 SF from Meyer was very dark. She was a pullet, but not light like their pictures. We have some SF from s different hatchery and they are lighter, one being a nice light salmon, but only 6 weeks old, so not full grown.

Here is the SF from Meyer we got Sept 2018. This pic is of her in late Dec or early January 2019 (at around 4 months old). She is pretty dark in coloring - but is a female.

This year we got some SF from a different hatchery. Here they are at 6 weeks old. They appear to be females (lack of any black feathering). The one on the right is fairly light in color - she is so pretty!
