Well you should have just said that... you made it sound like I was making this up or something?
Honestly I don't really know, I don't know if each state is different or what. I know it a national program but who is to say.
According to the people I delt with today made it sound like if the birds that were tested, test negative I can get either MG monitored or MG clean paperwork. If I choose to go the MG Clean route... I need to be tested every 90 days like you stated.
For me I have taken a big finacial hit on MG, and more than likely it came from started pullets that I brought in around March of this year. That kind of stress can trigger an outbreak.... and also spread to batches of broilers I raised this year.
Not sure if it was MG which is why I'm getting tested but symptoms were sneezing, gurgling, coughs, rales, wheezing ect... along with decreased egg production and slow weight gains in broilers. SO I'm a little heated with the whole getting sick stock from a hatchery thing... Like I stated earlier most backyard flocks can weather over an outbreak of MG I for one can not. It is a huge hit for me... and when you depend on that to pay the bills it's not a fun experience.
