Have you been to Frankenmuth before? There is TONS to see and do there, outside of Fowl Fest even. You should go there at least once in your life if you're a Michigander.

I plan on going on Sat so I can watch the auction. I've never been but several people I know say that is it really nice. Plus when you're done looking at chickens you can go eat chicken at Zender's.

Then you can grab some chicken-shaped ornaments at Bronner's...

Yes, Fowl Fest is definitely worth visiting. I'm lucky in that I'm only about 45 min. away so it is an easy trip. There are also sale pens there if you are interested. 2 years ago I bought a pretty trio of gold duckwing OEGB. It is fun to see different breeds of birds--kinda like a living catalog. Plus, as many have already pointed out, a day in Frankenmuth is always a terrific day.

Is the Saturday auction the only day that they are sold?, or are there individual vendors as well?

I will be there I will have some call drakes for sale and saxony breeding pair for sale. Also will be showing saxony in open and my children will each have some Phoenix,spanish,cochins, saxony,kacki campbells showing lol
