MIA Chicken

I was out in my yard at about 6pm and all 4 of my chickens were in their pen.

Went out about 7:45 and only 3 chickens there.

Looked around and no sign of her. No feathers or anything out of the ordinary in or around the pen, chickens don't just run away... do they?

My only thought would be a hawk but I am down 1 chicken and have only had them 17 days.

Look deep in the bushes and up in nearby trees. She might have flown out and now that it's late, is trying to find a safe spot.

ok, so I checked at 5 ths morning before I left for work... 3 chickens.

My wife checked at 6:30am... 4 chickens.

She might have been on top of the bales of straw under the coop.

She must be the one that doesn't roost with the other 3 but sleeps in a nesting box.
