Picked up my new chicks today.....2 - Black Australorps, 2- Ameraucanas, 2- RIR
I'm keeping them in the shed in a large cardbard box for now, until the chix tractor is ready in a couple of days.
the lady at the feed store asked about mice, if there were any in the shed , as they would kill baby chicks.
I have not seen any signs of mice, is this true?
I got them at about 91 degrees and they seem happy, not huddled under the lamp and not sitting at the outer edge of the box., eating and drinking ok.
