mice in the bird cage

this is serious. i put mice traps around it and they keep getting in and eating my parakeets food. the distance between the wires on the side arnt very wide its about 1/2 and they keep getting in.
any suggestions?

Nothing other than I don't think it's a good idea to put a mouse trap in a bird cage.

Can you hang the birdcage from the ceiling?

You have to look at the cage and figure out how they are getting in. Then, think like a mouse.

Is the cage on a table, or on a stand.

Hmmmm. I think that your best option would be to hang the cage on something so that the mice wouldn't be able to get in. I hope that the mice go away soon for 'ya.
