The dad was a brindle and the mom a fawn. I'll post pictures of them later

My DH and I were out for a motorcycle ride and stopped for an icecream. Some other riders saw a little white mouse sitting on the side walk, so me being me, went over and put my hand down, and he hoped right on.

He had a bit of a rough ride going home in the back of the harley cargo box, so we named him Elvis, cause he's all shook up...uhuuhh!. He's been the sweetest little guy. We got a Habitrail for him and he loves it. I'll probably get another mouse after he goes, but a female, he's a stinky boy!

if you get a female, make sure you get 2. They do better in pairs.
Males sure are stinky! I try to keep my numbers of them low for 2 reasons, smell and space(males are housed alone, females in groups)

I have mice, though not intentionally. The excessive rains and winter snows this year have driven the field mice into my house and I am trying to drive them back out, though I don't like killing them. I find them adorable, but I have to consider the health and well being of my family.

I heard that mint will deter them from the house, but I don't want to spend a load of money growing mint all around the house only to find this isn't true. I don't suppose any of you mouse owners could put a sprig of mint in with your meeces and see how they respond? I would really like to deter our infestation in the most humane way possible. I've already plugged up every hole I can find with steel wool, but they are still coming in somewhere and it's creepy to hear them chew chew chewing in the walls.

If any of you are willing to try the mint, please let me know. Anything I can do to send the little buggers back where they belong would be much appreciated!

When I was younger and worked at a pet shop, a lady brought in a mouse and babies. All the babies were black but the mom mouse was orange red, like a person with red hair. I brought her home and had her until she died of old age.

I have never seen red mouse since but would sure not mind having one again. They make great pets and are easy maintenance.
