Mice?

Hello! My apologies if this is in the wrong section <<

My dad has two mousetraps and we've currently been catching really small mice every now and then - he's wondering if we can feed them to our chickens. My mom is concerned about the possibility of disease or infection in the mouse. Is it still safe to feed? We've only trapped them in our garage outside and I don't think the mice have been floating around the chicken feed, since our chickens are constantly patrolling their feed area.

I've seen my chickens kill and eat mice over the years. I just can't get myself to feed that to them. My wife and kids would not ever eat an egg again if they found out.
