If it's anything like last years food will be great. I will be willing to smoke chicken again if anyone wants it.

Do you really need to ask????? It was fabulous!! I don't think you'll find anyone that will say no to your chicken. Where are we having it.....same place??

We are glad to have you in the loop. Welcome. The when is June 12th. The what is like minded people who enjoy getting together to talk about chickens, sell and swap, and eat. Everyone brought a dish to pass and the food was unbelieveable. The where is yet to be determined, although I was very impressed with Delta Mills. The pavillion with more than adequate tables and electricity was great. The close proximity of a play area for the little guys was a plus. The very clean bathrooms another plus. The fact that we were isolated from the rest of the park really made it great and the park employees were very cordial and helpful. Many of the parks we check last year wouldn't allow chickens. However, if someone wants to offer a better location I am open. Where every the final location is we will need to get it locked up shortly after the first of the year.

do we have a set location yet?.. because its set for the NASCAR race weekend I would like to make sure we can get a campground or a hotel for that weekend I dont know if MY gets as booked as NC does memorial day weekend

Dar,
The hotels & campground in the surrounding areas get filled up fast for MI race weekend. Most are booked 1 yr in advance. If you need any assistance in finding a place PM me and I will check too. We live about an hour away from the track and have worked there in the past.
Not sure if its still June 12 or if they have a definite location for the chickenstock but I'm sure after the holidays Opa will let us know.

Thank you... I was thinking about a half way point between MIS and where ever the chosen location is.... if i have to go a little further thats fine too... when I go to NC we are about an hour away from the track and its not bad at all..

If anyone who is going to the Michigan chickenstock has any Black Copper Marans (hatching eggs) I would be intrested

or any other really dark egg layer

Happy New Year

Hopefully by next week I will have the location finalized and will be updating this thread with the information. I also will be begging for some help so keep checking for the update.

Hey, Opa. You know I'm right up the road from you, so don't hesitate to let me know how I can help. Did you happen to call Maybury? I know they have a riding stable and petting zoo there, so they must not have a problem with animals.
