Michigan Chickenstock 2012 Buy/Sell/Trade

It is one whole unit. We actually made ours from an old shipping crate my son brought home. But DH is going to make them with lumber and plywood. He said $50 each. Hinges alone are going to be almost $10.

Hillbilly Hen...would it be possible to get just one level made? I have a brooder set up right now for a couple Isa Browns that are about a month old, and now that I know about Chickenstock I would love to get a few more different breeds but nowhere to put them! And running out of space in the coop/shed so would rather have a smaller version if possible ;^)

I will ask my carpenter.

I have 3 almost 4 week olds and 2 almost 5 week olds in the top level of mine. They are ready to move to a bigger space sometime this weekend.

I posted this on the Michigan chat thread but thought I would post it here too. If anyone is interested DH said he could make a couple of these to sell at Chickenstock. I use it for chicks, broody hens or injured chickens. As you can tell from the pic, my hens use it for a nest box. Is is called a "Nellabean Brooder" after the BYC member that designed it.

me likie........ hmmmm- do we pre order these? or is there a set amount your just bringing?
what are the dimentions?

Theron..... we didn't make it to the chicken show. :( Mom still needs a Millie Fleur D'Unncle roo. My nephew's grad party is also on June 23rd in Mason- so not far from here. I will come out for a couple hours, be there 10 til..... 12 or 1?

I will have some LF Gold Lace Polish chicks with me for sale- most are split to Tolbunt, so end up with a few scattered white tips (ie: not good for showing)

I'm only keeping my Tolbunt marked ones from this year's hatch out of my own pens (and splits I hatched out of eggs bought in for more tolbunt lines)- so the GL splits can go.
The babies from my Tolbunt hens x GL split roo pen are "50%" GL splits and "50%" Tolbunt(NFS), however the babies from my GL split hens x GL split roo pen are: "25%" GL (NON carrier), "50%" GL splits, and "25%" Tolbunt(NFS). So most, but not all GL babies will carry tolbunt gene.
Happily most of the new tolbunt chicks that have hatched out this year (with the GL split blood added to bought tolbunts) are correctly colored!! My tolbunt hens I that hatched out last year from bought eggs..... 2 are dark tolbunts, and the 3rd is not laced, but the colors are right (the 4th was a blue tolbunt).... hmmm
