Michigan Chickenstock 2014 - attendance

Hello all --- a few quick questions ;)

Is this inside or outside? Is there shade? I want to bring some chicks to sell but don't want them baking in the sun.

Do I have to pay to sell? Obviously I'll make a donation to help pay.

Is there assigned places or just where you plop down?

Thanks!

The food area is in the pavilion.
Everyone just sets up wherever there is a space. There are a few trees for shade but not that much.
You are best off bringing your own shade source. And chairs.

The donations are used to pay for the use of the pavilion, so any $$$ is appreciated.

Items for the raffle are donated with the donating person getting a ticket in exchange.
Food is pot luck, see the sign up in my signature.

Have food and water (and containers) for any animals that you bring or intend to bring home.

Thanks! I hate the heat so may make the rounds and head back. I don't have any way of making shade for the chickens. Maybe I can put a tarp up for them somehow over their cage.

I've been on Facebook's Michigan Poultry group, and I'm so excited for ChickenStock! Its mine and DH's first time, and I'm hoping to bring back something feathery...

I tried to post what I'm bringing. I'm new and still figuring things out. Count 2 for me and we are bringing homemade coleslaw. Thanks :)

Thanks for posting this, RaZ!!
There's a wee bit of shade along the tree line that runs alongside the area, but as indicated, there's not much shade. And, it's hot...please folks, don't leave birds in your vehicle unless they have good venilation. :)

Welcome, Debchickmom! This is a most excellent way of meeting more poutlry friends! I've made some lifelong friends through BYC and chickenstock!

I have to say, I'm super excited to see so many new names, and of course, can't wait to meet up once again with those of you who aren't new to Michigan Chickestock!

A few reminders for Saturday:

There will be a sign-in sheet in the pavillion; it's important that you sign in with both your user ID AND real first name. Also indicate how many in your party. It's great to be able to look back on these events historically and see how many folks were in attendance.

PLEASE make sure to put your name tag on - again, write your user ID and real first name.

Please do not bring any ill livestock.

Please be diligent and clean up after your livestock - the folks at the park have always welcomed us, but if we leave things a mess, they won't continue to do so, so let's be respectful so we always have a place for this MOST IMPORTANT event!
