I'll be leaving with cooked chicken, cloth chicken, and baby chickens in eggs! This will probably be the best day of the year for me! It's like Christmas in August! The only thing that could possibly ruin it for me is if my puppy decides to drag me around the show ring later... but that would probably just make me laugh!

I'm going to plan on being there at 10. I have a ton of things I have to get done before I leave the farm for the day!

I just can't WAIT to meet everyone - I think it's going to be a blast!

Would anyone be interested in a 50/50 raffle? I was thinking, half to the winner, and I would donate half to a 501c(3)-verified nonprofit organization, such as the Michigan Humane Society or even a chicken-related nonprofit.

Folks, if I make a donation through my work, they will match it, 3 to 1! This is a really great opportunity, and I often make donations collected from several sources in this way so as to increas the help to a nonprofit. If folks are interested, does anyone have access to free or inexpensive tickets we can use? If not, I'll call our local American Legion, as they're always doing raffles and such....maybe they'd sell me a roll on-the-cheap.

Sounds like a great idea! I will not be there the full time, so I probably will not participate, or rather a better idea would be to buy some tickets for someone else... Anyway, I have several rolls of tickets in my basement that I can bring. We are always doing drawings and raffles for the annual church picnic.
