more recalls, but seeing nothing yet for this year in poultry; maybe it's in one of last year's? We just started the year. I gotta get ready for work, if anyone finds out more please post about it! This one has chick food recalls, and lots more for last year.

debating on leaving for GR tonight to get the sheep or early tomorrow morning...concerned about the snow we're suppose to get.
I heard the snow is going to start late tonight and continue through tomorrow with about 5-8 inches total tomorrow. I would think tonight would be best if you are picking up and turning back for home?

Taking advantage of this balmy 35 degree weather, I did outdoor chores. Including a good coop clean.
The canaries were very chatty and a few were practically warbling. Sounded an awful lot like an egg song.
A cursory check and I see one bird in the darkened corner. Just sitting.

Tomorrow marks 22 weeks. Dare I get my hopes up?

thanks for posting the age! i have a few that hatched a couple of days after yours but didn't bother to write down the date anywhere, and was noticing yesterday that they were suddenly getting pink faces!

Nothing yet. But then again it might be wishful thinking.

The 20 week target is merely a rule of thumb that was based largely on production breeds. Backyard birds have their own timetables and can vary greatly among breeds.
Knowing that does little to mitigate impatience.

. PLUS I got a 92/100 on my exam this morning (& it was NOT EASY & I had a headache bordering on migraine...). Should've been a 95 but I made a really stupid 3pt mistake

If you can get on the road tonight soon, that's what I would do. Either way, wishing you and new sheep a safe ride.
