Opa, other Welsummer owners.... Which get tails first, hens or Roos? I have one with a tail and three with sides so tails, no centers yet.

I have 7 Wellies that came from the "pullet" bin. Based on head pattern and the "eye liner" feature, I concluded that 6 are pullets and 1 is a cockerel. That theory was supported by the TSC worker who said she raises Welsummers for show.

At 3 1/2 weeks, three of the girls have very pronounced tails. Of the other 4, three are just starting to get tails and the male is still a fuzz butt.

Probably not the answer to your question. I should know more in a few months.

If anyone wants to hatch some Tolbunt Polish, I have a dz available. They're laying great right now. Fertility has been 100% the last two hatches for me. I'm in Oxford.

Thank you so much RaZ and others that had gone to the meeting! :thumbsup Had to work, so could not go. :(

Got an injured turkey hen today. Tom was too rough on her while mating. Arrgghh! Cleaned her wound, and stitched her up, and ran to FFH to get Blu-kote to spray on her. She did well, stayed still the whole time. Hope she heals, its a nasty wound.

Thanks everyone! I will do my best to put together a map. For now i'm jotting notes, so keep it coming! :)

This incubation has taken it's toll on me. So stressed! I don't know if any of hopes eggs are going or not. Day 11 and I can't see anything promising; hard though since they are blue. Worse than brown ones! The other blues are looking similar; the couple d'uccle eggs that developed have little kickers in there! Oh i wish it were so easy for the ee's! :(

I appreciate your thanks. I know that the other people there share the same sentiment.
What I do, what the other supporters do, we do for ALL of our friends who want to maintain a healthy, sustainable livelihood.

I definitely am thankful. I wish i was able to be more active. It is frustrating! For the moment i am trying to piece together where the friendly places are, there are still SOME. I think it is BS that people are being told what to do with their own property!

I'm thankful for all of the work that you have done. All of the research that you have compiled helps so many of us.
