good question but I don't think I want to find out

I am wondering how many cats it takes to fence a 30x30 garden
Depends on how thin you slice them. Oops, that is for roofing, I guess you would have to carefully unwind that cat for a fence.
What a PITA trying to get new insurance. The old company declined to renew the policy and they informed the mortgage company who then informed me. So I went shopping for a new agent and company. You think that the government is spying on you??? That pales in comparison to what the insurance companies have on you.

Unless its warm outside, I put my young ones out only during the day for the first couple of weeks, putting them up at night where it doesn't get really cold. Nova, I agree with you on the three day spring, I was hoping it would last a while longer too. I use step in posts and plastic fencing for plants I don't want eaten, fast, easy, and cheap- my favorite. My blue wheaten Americana (?) eggs are due to hatch the 1st of May, along with a couple of eggs I can't remember who donated, and I've got a partridge bantam wyandotte that's sitting on 2 of her eggs and 2 of an anonymous donor's, I'm hoping she gets at least one or 2 to hatch, she had only been laying eggs about a month before she went broody. I threw in a couple of guinea eggs to fill the incubator, so I'll have a good mix if they all hatch.

Just left imlay city Michigan bird swap.
Got 3 mallard juvenile duckies for my pond and some flight netting.

Lots of nasty birds there and roos. Liked lookin at the pigions/doves. Those seem to be the cleanest birds there no matter who was selling. Lots of interesting doves and pigeons.

Got what I was after so I was happy! Lots of folks and overall ejoyed looking.

You get your premiums back then, Raz?
No they just let it expire and did not want to renew the policy. What gripes me is that the agent didn't inform me. I found out when the mortgage company called to say that the ins. co. didn't accept the payment.
Anyway, I went with a new agent and company.

This is the easter egger that was in the pullet bin, I'm thinking it's a rooster.

These 3 i think are pullets and the 2 silver laced wyandottes would not hold still for a good pic.

@mindylee -we just got back from the Imlay city bird swap also. I loved the purple/green/white pigeons and I almost got some auracana pullets, but now the new ones are outside, I don't want to start over again. I was hoping to find a black copper maran hen for some deep choco colored eggs, but also wasn't impressed with the selection. Hubby was over looking at the tractors, was to cold, so we left after only 40 mins and I didn't buy anything.
