Now if we can just get them to make chicken keeping legal.

I know I'm just being difficult but my thoughts were, "what if I want an ugly goat?" do they count? Or do they just have to be cute to considered a pet. And what makes them cleaner to keep than chickens? Or less of a nuisance? My chickens are just as cute as a goat if we are going on cuteness! Except maybe right now when everyone is bald.

I know everyome says you can't age a hen from a photo but I would appreciate even a guess, this first photo is of my pullet who has recently started to lay. The second is a stray rescue who's age I am trying to determine. Thanks for any help.
