Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I know we have all heard the saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure" well, I'm looking for some dead leaves that a fellow BYC keeper may have bagged, or is getting ready to bag and put out to be trashed.
I'm looking for BAGGED leaves. More specifically without chemical treatment.
My goats are confined at the moment, and leaves are a big treat for them! My trees got a fungus, and I had to spray them. So my leaves are going to compost...
I am in the west michigan area if you aren't far from me, I would be happy to pick them up!
Thank you!!!

You should drive through suburbia. I saw a mess of houses with bagged leaves out front in the Muskegon area. Must be the same where you are? I already cleaned up 5 acres of leaves but mulched all the maple. How about posting on CL in the wanted section?

...and the wet, *powdered sugar* is beginning to fall. It's not even pretty yet. Boo.

Oh, Happy Halloween everyone.

Even though we are on a a main road, the houses are spaced out so we hardly ever got trick or treaters...until dh started handing out KING size candy bars. Kids got wind of that and we got the hayride kids and all. When we moved, it all stopped. We moved back and now none show up. So I snuggle up with a good book or a movie tonight. Kitty burrowing under the blanket.

Gee, a fireplace would sure be nice right about now.

We all knew it was coming but that we have to like it. Snow cover is always advantageous when deer hunting, so I guess I wouldn't mind the snow and cold if it was over and done with by the 1st of January.

Over the years I have found that most often when the phone rings early in the morning it isn't good news. My father had twelve siblings and they have had full rich lives. Sadly they have been slipping away. The uncle that my sons and I were closest to pass this morning; one day shy of his 85th birthday. He had been extremely active with few health problems. Tuesday in plowed his garden and raked the leaves from his huge yard. A few hours later he experienced a heart attack from which he couldn't recover.

While sad it still was a good way to leave this mortal coil. Being active and productive until the very end is the best any of us can hope for.

So sorry about your loss but I also agree on both points, the snow and being active to the end, it is all any of us can hope for,
