Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Well the good news was that all 11 hens laid an egg today.
Less good is that a BA looks like she wants to go broody.
The not-so-good news is that they want to do open heart on me.
I need a beer.

i plan on going to them and i know a bunch of people that are as well...are you going...im making a shirt that will be bright lime green and its going to say birdman on it...so you should have no problem finding me....lol.... anyways figured i would post a pic to show people what eggs look like since their not laying for some people.....;) also got rid of a red golden pair today... and also got some sand dropped off and been hauling it in the back with five gallon buckets...not to fun going into the incubator really soon....going to candle them tonight
I'm almost positive I'll make it to at least one. I google mapped the places and they are all at least two hours away, I liked when some were in Charlotte last year. I can't wait for the one next month. Do you sell birds or do you buy birds? I'll look out for anyone in a lime green shirt. ;) I'll most likely will be wearing a camo hat.

Where are these at?

I went to collect eggs at noontime and 3 of my hens are starting to molt quite a bit. I noticed it last week, but wow, what a difference a day makes. They look pitiful and it's just beginning.

Oh I had plenty of eggs this winter, as soon as the solstice passed, they went gangbusters. I get more than a dozen daily. This is their first molt.
I got one of my hens starting to molt a little as well. They've laid all of winter.

We tested the cream separator with some whole milk.. It worked.. But the real test will be to see if it worked with the goats milk... And the babies are due in April! So no milk till then!

My kids are due in April. I actually felt kid movement on both pregnant does this morning, quite exciting! Biotracking definitely wasn't wrong!

I only have one doe for sure bred, she is BIG as a barn!!! She is round as she is long! Anyone care to guess how many Myrtle is baking??? I guess she still have a few more weeks to go! Poor gal.

I have been tapping our maple trees too! 23 trees, got 19 gallons of sap so far! :)
