Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Stacy, there's a big desire for NG doelings down here. Not so much for wethered Toggies though. I have a 3 year old boy that needs a good home. He's pet material and so sweet. I guess I'm being too picky about "who" takes him. He'd make a great companion animal for someone with horses, donkeys, mules, or maybe other goats.

Just a warning, mules don't need a companion animal. My oldest son has raised mules for years and they are great animals. I've found them to be easier to keep than horses; they eat less, are less prone to sickness and injury, are productive for more years. The big downside is they are territorial and will kill smaller animals. Joe finally gave up on raising goats because to often they would get in with the mules and that would be the end of them. He has had many mules over the years and this was a problem with all of them, not just an isolated incident of a single roge animal.

Hello everyone! we are located in Waterford and currently have 2 roosters and only want to keep one, so we are looking to give him a new home,
we would LOVE to trade him and purchase a couple of hens about the same age if possible.
We believe he is a New Hampshire, and both of our roosters are extremely friendly to people,
If you would like one please let me know!
Otherwise one might become dinner one night

Well, i, like many others here took advantage of the beautiful day and cleaned my coop. Took 6 hours to deep clean, blow all the dust, dander, and cobwebs away. Build 2 more roosts. And lay 400lbs of new sawdust bedding down. All the birds are happy campers.
Not looking forward to winter and starting to prepare for it.
Still need to hang tarps and clean lean-toos out but ran out of time today.
On another note...
Have a few birds for sale if anyone is interested
COCHIN BANTAMS
Have a few calico/millie boys for sale
2 chocolate boys
And a few st run blk/blk mottled chicks
Everything $5 each

Absolutely gorgeous here today! My girls are all out picking the newly-rejuvenated flies and lady bugs off of the side of the house.

yeah the ladybugs are out in full force...went out on the four wheeler tonight with tee shirt on...in October...crazy nice day.

Those likely aren't lady bugs but rather some look-alike invasive. I forget what they're called but they will stain of you squish them in your house. We used to have them at the trailer at deer camp. No exaggeration to say we would get there and spend 20min vacuuming them off the ceiling. And repeat a few times during the weekend. Ugh.
