and congrats! I bet those babies are adorable! :)
I don't know what I'd do with him. I don't need him. Sorry. I hope you find him a good home.

Yay! This year's muscovy-palooza has finally started. All the fun was dampened and delayed a bit by a skunk issue this spring, but the skunk has been dispatched by a neighbor who was sick of him too, but now we're up to nine ducklings. Six definitely muscovy babies that are in with the silkie bator and three ducklings out with the mom that hatched earlier than the rest that might just be hinnies. I want to get pictures of the ridiculously cute muscovy under the silkie, but she's ferociously trying her hardest to hatch a seventh egg and acting terrifying, as usual when babies hatch. These little pied guys are little and brown and yellow and look like they're wearing hats!

I just have to share my short story about last night when I went to lock up my flocks for the evening. So I was doing my normal routine and yes that includes a head count of both coops. I was counting my bantams.... One.....two...and Boots is missing my third adult bantam. My heart dropps even though their run and coop are very secure this is the first time she hasn't been on the roost when I went to lock them up. I rush into the run and i don't see her she's mostly black and it's dark so I check her favorite place to lay eggs under the pop door ramp (she refuses to use the awesome nest boxes I made) and volla I find her trying to be broody on an empty nest! I picked her up without any protest from her and put her on the roost. I did a little happy dance knowing she might want to set on some eggs for me in the future.
