Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Holy snowballs, Batman.
I just got hit with a freak storm. Rain and hail turned the ground white in a matter of minutes. Temperature dropped 15 degrees.
Chicks are good in the new coop. I was checking on them when this storm hit. I got drenched running for the house.
Kinda sounds a little like that downburst that hit me late spring here that actually ended up rotating my coop about 90 degrees. Freaky when one of those can hit.

Yikes!!
I've been thinking it feels like fall, but that sounds like winter!
Well, Winter is Coming!

This afternoon when I got home from work, a nice big red shouldered hawk was on the fence watching the coop, and no chickens were visible. She apparently had a bantam already, and wanted another. The birds were all either hiding in their coop, or in the shrubs near the house, and it took until dusk to convince them all to come in. She was overhead in our big maple, waiting for another bird. Told her to get some of those wild rabbits instead!!!
One bird missing tonight, likely gone forever. Everyone will be 'on lockdown' for ten days at least; so much for free ranging right now!

The last corner of the garage went up today. Thanks to help from a few neighbors.
I'm almost ready for the roof trusses. Just a bit of shoring up to do on my part before we /I an set the roof.
Just need the wrap and install the windows.
