Cut a 'stump', drive a couple nails in, and tell them what it's forI'm starting to hate these Sapphire Gem hens. Six months old now and not a single egg. They are very flighty and great escape artists. One Houdini gets out nearly every day. Today she must have showed her sisters. All 5 are out of the run and "helping" me cut that wood.

I went a couple of years ago (back when I still lived in the city). It was quite impressive and I met a bunch of nice people then. I thought about going on Saturday but decided to do chores around here to get ready for winter.Went to Fowl Fest yesterday, and had a good time. There was a huge Serama entry (club national meet, I think) and a nice Chantecler entry (also the club national meet) with really nice birds exhibited.I met some very nice people too. I don't ever plan to show my birds, but very much enjoy going to this show.

Fairy, fart, wind, rooster eggs are usually from a tiny piece of tissue breaking loose from the reproductive tract, or an immature ova(yolk) and the body forms an egg around it. Color can be darker than 'normal' as the pigment coating released has to cover a much smaller area so is thicker. Can happen with any age layer, but more common with new or older layers. What's a 'fart egg' ?!?!?!
