Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

FFH opened a store close to me, but I'll still go to the regular feed mill as much as I can. I rather support the local business. FFH advertised a couple breeds I wanted, but when I got to the store they didn't have any. My hens are not producing much some are 3 and 4 yrs and not producing much. I am not the type to keep all the birds around, if they don't produce then they need to provide. I had thought now that things have changed, I would get some new stock and thin out the older hens.
FFH recently opened a store in Brooklyn (home of Michigan International Speedway) recently and the local rumor mill is that they're going to be buying the Shopco building on the west side of Tecumseh as well and drop one in there as well, if the owner if the building would stop jerking them around and make the deal. Last I knew the building still had the for sale sign up yet. But it pretty much would be a perfect location for them with space to put outdoor stuff there as well. That can be kind of an issue for some of their other locations that are in strip malls.

Been there, done that with you, RaZ! :gig I love the smell of lilacs. Makes a great hedge. Feeds the bees. So that's good. Let me know when the ground is good for digging!

The ground has been soft enough to dig almost all winter. At least here. Very few days had frozen ground. I spent a lot of yesterday moving soil, rocks, and leaves from in front of the house. Also mended a fence that was damaged by snowmobilers.. More to do today but it is about 20 - 25 degrees colder today.

Canada geese are back on the lake. Even though the lake is 8/10ths of a mile away, it sounds like they right here in the yard. Love the noise.

I really need a rooster and some peafowl. Can't let things get too quiet around here.

You guys are just no fun anymore. Can't get a rise out of anyone.

Just what do you mean by that! :tongue

So, my work is closing for 2 weeks today because of the Corona Virus. Not that we've had any known clients test positive for it yet, but we do have a lot of elderly clients and people that work at UM hospital and St. Joes as well. It would be too easy for someone to come in for a session and then in the next day or 3 say that they ain't feeling so good and got tested. Probably wouldn't be a good idea to expose mom to it anyways with her getting over the shingles.
