Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

This is the strangest rain - it looks on the radar like it is heading strait towards us, but evaporates just as it reaches the bridge.
It is weird, like a big 'T' moving mostly south to north.
Top of the T is across northern lower.
Lots of storms fade out when they head east across the big lake here.

Well, still no sight of those elusive hummers here, but the robins are certainly enjoying this rain. I will have to try what @50-45-1 suggested to attract more of those Orioles!

I did get an egg from my bantam hen about an hour ago! She is a very inconsistent layer. Her track record seems to be: lay for about 4 days, then take a two month break. This is her first year laying so maybe she is working the kinks out. I gave her a cucumber slice as a reward.

I saw the podiatrist this morning. I have a "lisfranc" fracture. I don't get normal bumps and bruises; I get all the weird stuff. She upped the dosage of Lyrica to try for 6 weeks. Then she'll decide if surgery is called for. Meanwhile, I'm still walking and climbing ladders and scaffolding.

My scarlet tanger was back today. After a ton of rain and high wind there was a break and he was back. Also saw goldfinches and an oriole. Forgot the grape jelly when I stopped at the store. At least I have oranges and hummingbird nectar out. I'm seeing some other birds that I can't ID. I loaned my bird book to a friend and never got it back. :rant

Going out after lunch to clean out the coop. Stay dry my friends.

Saw a hummingbird Sunday at my mom's feeder. Just there for a bit.

Put the baby gate up today on the little coop to let the little ones opt to go in and out of the little coop. Probably going to dump them in full time with the big girls later this week when they have cleaned up most of their layer feed and I can swap in a flock feed for everyone. They was out and about for a bit.

Take pics if you can, and we'll help you identify them. I love watching all the different birds I have.
I'm so over the rain, like everyone else. Unfortunately, the coop and run are a bit downhill, so the run is an mud hole. Windy today, so that will help dry it out

What brand of flock feed do you use? Is it crumbles or pellets?
