Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Ladies, I am so done is not even funny.
Um, FYI, I'm a dude. There are a couple of us guys here, so watch your language. :gig

I think my ducks are beginning to lay. I got a very large "round" egg this morning. It is much larger than Jumbo and quite heavy. All of the chickens are laying. Just not in the nesting boxes. It's an egg hunt every day around here.

Long day at work. I didn't get home until after dark. All birds were tucked in so all I had to do was close and secure the coop door. I didn't bother to look for afternoon eggs. If any were laid I'll get them tomorrow.

My yard has dried up quite nicely. However, I'm going to leave the pallet boardwalk in place for another month or so. A good rain will turn it all back to mud in a heartbeat.

Anyone wanting to get a Covid shot can text "COVID" to 75049 and get signed up with Meijer. They have been giving them out at my store for a couple of weeks now. Some customers have received their second dose already.

Is anyone interested in August? September?
Either late august or September should work for me. Amy's PTO resets at the end of August and she only has about 3 days worth of PTO until then. But she's working from home now for Best Buy so its not like she should really need to use them for anything. Plus, pretty likely that everyone that wants the vaccine should have the shots and herd immunity has been reached.
It's been 'life on hold' for the last year, and we are so ready to move on from this! Can't imagine living in an apartment (ANYWAY!) during this time; having land, space, and critters makes life so much better.

Having Mom's farm to go to for some fresh air and not having to listen to my stoner neighbors across the hall coughing from their cheap weed helped to keep me sane this year, especially when my office was closed and I couldn't massage.
Any of those dates work for me.
About getting vaccinated; check with your county health department website. That's how we got in line, and it happened sooner than through our doctor's office. try signing up several places too.

From what I've been hearing from my clients, signing up for multiple locations seems to be a pretty good strategy for getting vaccinated. Mom had her heart set on getting vaccinated by UM, but currently they're just not getting enough doses to do large numbers of people. Finally talked her into trying Lenawee County Health Department and they got her first vaccination shot last Thursday.

Amy's 18 month wedding anniversary gift. Two Mystic Marans and two light Brahmas.

On the weekends, hubby makes breakfast. Bacon and eggs. And he's not laughing about the size of the eggs. When I buy eggs, I buy jumbo. When they were out and I had to get extra large, he called them "quail eggs."

My girls are laying eggs barely into the large size (57-65 grams) and one is still laying in the medium size. Appropriately, her name is Little.:gig
