Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Well I hope at some point we can all get together and have a picnic. It's really about choice I guess in these uncertain times. I understand everyone has their take on what's what and that's cool. I usually contact a bunch of non-posters and let them know. I'll let them know its off for now. I'm not the most constant poster but over the years I try and pop in when I think of you all. Ducks are laying like crazy!

It's cool place, haven't been in years.
It looks like they are going to be breaking ground for another building this summer too. They had their weekend schedule of events posted. I bet that place is busy on Saturdays and Sundays. So glad we went on a Thursday and almost had the place to ourselves.

@riss, I'll look for your dad's car next time we go! :thumbsup If it was in the Muscle Car display, I probably did see it.

As far as a picnic/get together, if I can make the date, I would very much like to be there!

Hello all, been watching the chicks grow and they're about to hit about 4-5 weeks now, I'm now starting to suspect that 3 of the 4 chicks I have are looking to be roosters, based on their posture and size.

One of the Buff Orpigntons is looking to show to clearly be a hen, with their feathers more fluffed up and having what I recall being a more rotund shape, while the other Buff and Lavender Oprington are showing to have a slender frame and more upright legs. Same with the Barnevelder, having a more upright posture, and slender shape. At this point, partner and I are getting concerned about the other 3 being roosters, and are willing to give them away should anyone here be interested in.

We are a bit concerned if we were to keep the Buff hen alone, if their will be issues integrating with younger chicks/hens. I would believe we keep them in their own space for a few weeks, while younger chicks be spaced besides them, though separated until they show some comfort between each other. Would that be correct?

Attaching some images, though admit they're not the best and will see about taking better ones later today. Any advice would be appreciated, or if it may still be too early to tell.

Clear pics of combs in white light wold surely help.

Are you integrating with an adult flock.....or?
I'll see about getting better pictures, tried take a few, but still think they're lacking.

Also not integrating with adults, these are my first chicks and came from a straight run as I found after getting them, so that's my fault there.
