Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I’m sorry you lost your photos. You might want to consider a thumb drive key chain. They run about $15 dollars and can plug into your computer and smart device if you have photos stored on your phone. I was a life saver for me before I upgraded my cloud storage and lost everything on my phone. Always good to have a physical backup.
Michelle, you are so right. I do have an external hard drive but I moved 4 months ago and I have no clue where it could be,lol So I left it all on the computer. But hopefully they can save the info even if it costs me pretty pennies. I have all medical and military stuff there to include saved passwords to facebook and other sites that I got lazy and left them there. It is all my fault. Now I cannot get on nothing. I should be taking PC to place but I have not. :he

Edited 5/18/2021 @2000: Rose will stay home because she is a Rose, Yeah!

Well, Anyone in here (Michigan) would like a Turken roo? Very sweet boy and it is tame. Loves to be hand fed. I will deliver him with teary eyes but he needs a good home. He is a great forager and gets along very well with other breeds.

@Mfranks, Last year (very first chicks), I used one of those TSC 250 watt heat lamps. It worked fine. I raised it up when I needed the temp to decrease. This year, I'm using a plate (again, from TSC) for a few reasons. 1) safety. 2) safety. 3) cost of electricity. It was about $1.25/day. I can't imagine the plate will suck down that much... ?

While I had the lamp secured a couple different ways so it wouldn't fall, it made me nervous.

Hi Everyone! Just stopping by once more before I disconnect the PC. It is going to the shop tomorrow morning.

@aart Thank you for your help. Rose is a girl. Got connected to someone in Florida that has 5 of them, 2 boys and 3 girls. So my Rose is a girl.

Some got done today. It was very hot, so I went and put an outdoor umbrella and I sat in front of the door to let them get some wind and sun. They are hilarious.

Then I decided to make a little video still thinking Rose was a boy and had to part from him and I could not believe that Phoebe flew 41 inches high to the top of the pallet that was standing on one side. It was like she wanted to show off. It took her abot 2 seconds to think about it and fly up but then took her about 20 minutes to figure out how to come down, :lau :lau

Then the XH made them a shorter roost so they can go up at night instead of pilling up on a corner. They were all watching him from a far corner.

Well, through the camera, they are now pilling up in the other corner. Can't win with them....

They were very attentive while he was inside cutting a hole on the wall and putting hardware cloth so they have wind to go in. However, all openings are covered with plastic because it is suppose to rain through the wee hours until midday tomorrow.

Catch up with you somehow later on from cell.

Here are the babies!! Dont mind the temp in background. It is a toasty 95 degrees. Had to replace the batteries. They made it through the first night with no issue. So sweet they are.

Now I have to focus my attention back on my girl that went lame in January. She was limping in January, again in March and now again since last Wednesday. I found her last night laying the run and doesnt seem to have strength to get up. Her eating is fine but last night she seemed to struggling more than the past times. She also is losing balance. The foot she favors doesnt seem to have an injury and she hasn’t lost her appetite. She also appears to splay her wings out when I put her on the roost last night. I don’t want to separate her but my concern continues since her conditions seems to reoccur.

Taking with good with the bad today.
