Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I took the fence down in the run and the coop this afternoon. Everyone seems to be getting along.

@Sally PB nice! Your hen looks very pretty color.
Nothing here while babysitting. Hub has a colonoscopy tomorrow. So making sure he eats nothing, no liquid with red or purple, nor tomato nor citrus, yuck. Tomorrow is long day at AA. Canceled my Friday appointment. Not driving early back to AA after returning late home.

Hope he recovers quickly. Smell is coming out stronger. Quackies need their own space. I need to finish one side and the trench for the water to run out and away. I need a miracle, lol

Snowbird went to roost just fine last night! :clap

He didn't go in at night during the segregation, but just roosted on the log in the run. So I'm glad he went in with the ladies. No drama at all, so far. :)

He stays out of my way when I come in. Totally unlike Darl. What a difference. Thank you Mary, for raising up a NICE boy! :highfive:

Glad things are going well!
Our hens are regrouping, and most are staying closer to Ben. This is a good thing! We have a few that wander further from shelter alone, not wise of them. So far no losses though.
Mary

Update from Sam
I would like to thank everyone for your prayers. Got through with no issues and specialist thinks my issues were because of swelling from lung surgery and the reoccuring infections. Now that the infection is clear he feels pulmonary rehab and time should resolve my issues.

Good news about Sam! PTL
Hub was taken in. Wish I could nap on the truck. I prefer to be home with my animals and garden. That's my happy place!
A lot of green tomatoes on the plants. A few I collected were pretty big. Here are a few weighing more or less 16 ounces. That’s a pound of tomatoe, lol

Thanks for the update on Sam.

I scored another 2 L-carts from work yesterday. A week ago I brought home some obsolete displays for TVs. A couple of lighted signs, brackets, foam core panels, and other stuff that I can repurpose. It has evolved to the point that work is saving the excess junk just for me. I'm using some of the old racks to make a top soil screen. With all of the rocks I have here and the amount of composting I do, I really need a better way to process the black gold.
Besides, it's fun to make new things out of old stuff and scrap.

OMG! Just got in the house. Dropped hub by the front and drive right to the back. The cleaning door was open. Was not thinking will be in this late. Anyways, they are ok and missed me giving them snack on the roost. So, I did. The itty-bitty chicks finally pecked out of my hand, score!!!

Night night, I owe them a full day out,lol
