So I had to go for a treatment on my elbow and shoulder in a town about an hour south of me. Made a stop on the way home.
And this guy hi-jacked my car and forced me to drive him home.

Lost a nice hen today to a Cooper's hawk. Next door neighbor called, she saw it happen. I think a young female, not pleased that I took the big Chantie hen away from her. So, chickens will be locked in for at least two weeks, and hope this hawk moves on.
Our new dog Taylor is doing pretty well, next week we plan to give him his first heartworm injection. Crossing fingers that he does well...

New pup is named Winston. Not sure he knows it yet. I keep saying it over and over.

Always hate to lose a bird. I haven't seen a raptor in a couple of months. Although a bald eagle was photographed on the beach about 5 miles from me.

Still waiting for the final steps of the loan application. Appraisal and title work. It's all out of my hands while the money gods do whatever it is that they do. Hopefully I'll have a furnace sometime before spring thaw.

Glad Taylor is doing well. A happy healthy pup is a treasure.

I think our first loss to a raptor this year! No doubt because the birds have been locked in so much, thanks to AI. Free ranging is great, until it isn't.

Been depressed, GVSU lost out in the playoffs a week ago to Ferris State, who we beat in the regular season, but Ferris just managed to get past us a week ago, and then handled West Florida easily in Big Rapids to punch their ticket to the NCAA Division 2 National Championship Game this year in McKinney Texas. But their opponent for that game is the Colorado School of Mines, who we played to open the season and beat them as well, so we're the transitive property winners of the national championship. Parade starts at Noon.

Lots of things going on at the same time here in my neck of the woods.
Ducks were defective today. All 12 of them after a pool party, they all stood preening themselves on one leg,lol And yes, those girls are loud as heck.


Have not found any eggs yet, but I search everything everywhere.
Girls are doing good. New ladies not laying yet. Sophia, well she must be eggless. Just 2 eggs this year. Still getting from 3 to 5 a day. Baby'mama not laying, just molting but not much. Blanch is the one that hits her hard every time. She looks so pitiful!

Lovechild dethroned Pitbull and he is a master hen rider. No need to hold on to their head. Has great ability to balance very well. But he crows constantly at all hours of day and night. He is a good boy.
