Hi everyone. Busy busy. Sad news. My BC has to go to sleep today. Will miss her antics running the goat pens. Sad day. And some goats I sold, well the new owner has decided it’s just too much work so…next step undecided. Getting lots of chicken eggs. No duck eggs again until next spring as usual. And, Merry Christmas to you and yours as I’m off the page until next year.

Tonight when I went out to lock up the chickens, I found ice in the heated waterer. We're hunkering down until after the storm, so it may be awhile before I get out to get another one, if I can find one.

Maaaybe the plug wiggled loose and it's ok. Maybe it's kaput. Maybe I'll be taking out warm water several times a day for the next week or so.

It'll build character, right? Unless I slip and fall and break something, which I won't do.

Oh, I forgot to say...

I mentioned to DH that next fall/winter, we will see a big decrease in eggs, as the chickens will be 2 and 3 years old, and passing/past peak laying. So it might be a good idea to get chicks this coming spring, and if we do, we should enlarge the coop.

There were no negative sounds or words, so I'm hopeful this could happen! :fl
