Yes, it goes in effect May 8 - Jun 9. Had to post it for my swap-n-meet group letting them know that we will not be able to bring birds to the swap.

No issues here, may it stay that way! We will manage a tighter ship again, and hope to avoid disaster. Glad we don't have cattle any more, limiting visitors, and we do have many fewer wild geese this year. A very good thing!
May all our critters stay healthy!

"Please Note: HPAI is NOT evidenced by one dead bird or one coughing/sneezing bird while the remainder of the flock is acting normally. Instead, for small flock owners, look for two or more dead birds within a 24-hour period and symptoms in the rest of the flock (not eating, acting lethargic or sleepy with eyes closed, tucking their head close to their body, and appearing to be puffed up)"

Speaking of migrating birds, anyone seen hummingbirds yet? Journey North migration map says they are here... I haven't seen any yet
