That's a puffball mushroom!!! I'm not sure what their technical name is, but I grew up with them. As a kid, they are TONS of fun!!! When it gets fully mature, it will turn brown and crunchy. If you stomp on it, it will send a cloud of spores out that look like a big cloud of dust...

This one is as big as my head!
I don't think I want to squeeze that one!!!!

Ha ha ha!!! When I was young, those were my favorites to stomp! Just make sure you wait for it to turn brown and look dead. If you stomp it before then, it will just smoosh all over your shoe. Trust me, I know from experience. lol

They are good. My wyandottes both ended up being roosters of course, and I got rid of them. Kept one for a while, just got him rehomed about a week ago. He's a good boy, just didn't like waking up at 5 am to crowing lol!! So now I'm down to the 4 hens, and they are so funny.

Our Australorp's getting her wattles and her face is turning red. Our babies are growing up!
I was the one saying my Roma tomatoes aren't juicy. I know they should be dripping with juice, but ours are unusually dry this year. They're like... store bought in February tomatoes. Sad.

Raz, I know lilacs are thought of as weeds. But I like 'em, so they stay. Also, they're family heirlooms. Over 40 years old, and huge. I've been cutting out a lot of the old wood over the past years, and have them looking pretty healthy again. Minus the mildew now.

My 6 year old lost her 3rd tooth today. Time to go play tooth fairy.
