Below in my siggy is a MI Members List... you can add your name and where you live and also see who is near you. Some of the people on the list do not comment on the MI thread anymore... However, they may still be on BYC and be able to help you.
I was going to reccomend you Lovemychicklets!!! Kathy is a wonderful person to do business with!
Ok...so this chicken math thing is a scary dangerous thing. I'm in Wisconsin and I have already found where all the local hatcheries are at and I have been on craigslist out here and searched for chickens. I started out only wanting a dozen or so hens...I now have 41 chicks being sent to me around the 28th of this month. I had to order most of those straight run, but I have a guy who will take all my roosters. unless any of you want some blue laced red wyandotte roosters? Is there a chickens anonymous group on here...lol
LMAO. I just rolled when i read this. I wish that would happen to me. I want more, but the ole hubby says NO.![]()
Totally understand that. I hate culling, but have had too...those are cute piglets..
nova- I think i may see how she is doing by friday if she is improving dramatically i will put a partition up if not i may have to cull her.. i have her in a crate in the coop right now with some food.. so she can be alittle warmer... i made sure she drank lots of water b4 i locked her up..I just dont know what to do, she could have many things going on.. first when i got her in nov I just thought the molting was tiring her out.. she has got her feathers back and the other day looked so shiny and pretty.. moving a little more but still kinda standing alone, i felt her keel bone and you can feel it , she is skinny,.. trying everything i find on internet, she has classic signs of old hen.. pelvic bone, hard stomach rock solid, who know maybe its something reproductive that making her that way.. could be circulatory..I wonder if i am trying to fight a loss cause sometimes.. its kinda like how much quality of life does she have is she comfortable.. I know this sounds grim.. but you think after a couple months she would changed some. I am trying to keep it real.. I am not sure she will snap out of it.. I am really appreciating all the help, but also dont want her to suffer either. i have that to think about. dont want to keep her around for me if she is miserable..

Hello Michigan Thread! I'm a beginner hobby farmer and wonder if anyone has had any dealings with "The Chicken Hatchery (aka Destiny Farms) in Milford Michigan. I'm interested in hearing both good and bad.
Thanks!
