Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I have a question I'm thinking my fellow michiganders could help me with. Should I be worried about putting eggs under my broody hen when it is this cold? They are completely enclosed in the barn but it isn't insulated. Will she be able to hatch them and keep them warm?

Morning. :) Would any of you care to take a guess at this mystery bantam I have? I picked up 6 chicks from TSCs bantam bin yesterday. I know I have 4 silkies, and another I'm pretty sure is a golden sebright. This last little one I'm not sure about - the face looks like the Sebright one, but the backside is different. Any guesses?

Its a Golden lace Sebright. Very pretty birds. Thanks MIchickens!

Daron, I will tell him. I didn't realise you had hatching eggs. He was hoping he could find someone with chicks or slightly older birds. How much are you asking a dozen? I know you're not to far away from me.

I can hatch chicks for him if he wants to. $20.00 for a dozen hatching eggs.
