I was up at 430 and had my first cup of coffee 10 minutes later. Read all the posts on the Michigan thread, worked the LA Times crossword, and then got Granny up to take her for a blood test. This was the last of the weekly tests and the doctors have decided that she is doing so well that she can now go to monthly tests.
Glad to hear Granny is doing so well. :) Must be a relief to not have to do weekly tests now. :)
I have a question I'm thinking my fellow michiganders could help me with. Should I be worried about putting eggs under my broody hen when it is this cold? They are completely enclosed in the barn but it isn't insulated. Will she be able to hatch them and keep them warm?
They'll be fine. :)

Its a Golden lace Sebright. Very pretty birds.

OK... Then I'm confused. I thought this one was a Sebright:

And while their faces are the same, this one is solid black on the back, not spotted like the other one. See?

This is the spotty one from before, for comparison...

THANKS!
