My yard is a swamp and Raphael (our gorgeous new rooster) is glaring at me as if I am personally responsible for his soggy feathers.
Brought the little ones in early and they are not happy.
And now the ceiling is leaking in the living room.... we JUST got the dining room fixed and now this.
Sigh.
I think I'll be like my cats and just go curl up on my bed and wait for the rain to stop.

Here's the link to the CS13 pix: http://www.flickr.com/photos/uchytil59/

you can get all you need for electric fencing at TSC,,,I have all the stuff, just having a hard time finding 5 min to put it together,
do you need a fence tester? been thinking I need to get one,
question, do the ends need to meet? part of the reason I don't have it up,..... fear of "I don't know what the Heck I am doing,

getting dark here maybe we will get some rain

Well they have chicken coops for dummies, maybe they will come out with an electric fences for dummies book next. Weather was lovely all day here in Rockford. I got myself a squirt gun so I could dish it back to the kids and found that yard work is much more pleasurable in this weather when you are soaking wet and only wearing a swimsuit. Whenever I would start to get warm I'm just have them spray me down again. I had the cochin chicks outside and they followed me around the whole time I was weeding which was very exciting for them. Orion my cochin rooster seems interested, but very nonaggressive towards them, I think he will make an awesome daddy if I ever let them hatch their own eggs.

Or you could just buy eggs from your local backyard chicken keeper.

The pictures turned out good but I couldn't find any of my family (or myself). Then again, my crappy satellite internet wouldn't load a few so I could have missed something. I really was there though, I swear! Didn't make the group picture because I was securing the run-away pullet - got finished, stood up, turned around and everyone was dispersing. Ah well, me and Charlie Brown go WAY back.
