Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Lately, I find myself unable to change the size of print in posts. Smiley thingies seem ok. I want bigger print. Any help on this one?
Bottom right of my IE10 browser window has a zoom thing you can click on to make it bigger...I keep mine at 125%.

Actually, we do have a few game cameras that I could have set up in yard!!

Even better than a game camera would be something like a wireless internet connected camera with night vision, like this like this it would allow you to view chicks from any device with internet access, even while traveling. At just $65 I plan to have one in my coop once I'm done building it.

Wow, offline for a few days and over 200 posts! Anyway, one of my BO hens has been broody for 3 days, and has a pale comb. I'm thinking she'll stay broody unless I either let her hatch eggs or break her broody behavior. She seems pretty committed and pecks at my hand when I reach under her to collect eggs. Should I let her hatch some eggs? If so, I would need to get some since I don't have a rooster. Do any of you have around 6 purebred, preferably large fowl fertile hatching eggs? I could pick them up, I would prefer not to ship.

I am using the redcote since i already had it; worth a shot! I've been spraying it on all the bird's legs. In the little coop they have leg mites terrible, so they all got it even the ones who didn't for extra measure.

In the other coop it's bumble, so everyone is wrapped with iodine cotton balls to try to sanitize those feet; a few feet might not need surgery. The two new ones that don't have it so far got red cote just to protect them since it sanitizes and dries fast. :)

Silly that drawing is amazing. I'm not just joshing you, i love it! (what little there is of it) :p

@chickwhispers :
our rsl Lizzy got her name because when they were young chicks & flying around the growing pen , she flapped her tiny wings & managed to fly out over the top of the cage pen (had to get a "roof" on it after that) , (the pen is 30" tall) . So we stated that she was making a "jail break" - so she is named Lizzy after the song jail break from thin lizzy
:)

Is anyone else getting a serious itch to hatch out some chicks??? I don't think I can hold off any longer!

My hubby will probably kill me, he doesn't feel the same uncontrollable need that I do

Thanks for the input. All this is for my son who is doing market livestock this year. He will be selling an laying pair of chickens and a turkey. We thought he may get more for an EE or a Maran because of egg colors. I didn't want to buy any birds but none of ours are really know to be great egg layers. Narragansett were the turkeys we liked best but with only meeting some once we have no idea. It seems we aren't the only people who like them. It looks like they may be hard to get this year.

I am being lazy and haven't yet been out this morning to shovel the volumes of snow we received last night.... at least 6 inches of WET snow. I have decided snow banks are our friends as I stuck myself in one on the way home last night. Thankfully I just put it in 4-wheel drive and drove out. My current tires do not like wet snow and my new tires are not here yet so I will be an extremely slow driver for the next few days.

Well i am freaking out. My chicks were supposed to arrive today. And post office says no chicks came this morning. And the tracking info has them intransit, in florida two days ago and no additional info since then. My poor peeps are lost in the great unknown! I hope they make it they will be 4-5 days old tomorrow
