Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Yeah, I thought about that, since I might eventually think about hatching some of my own chicks. Btw, would standard cochins and a few wyandottes get along fine with silkies, despite the size difference? I heard that those breeds are pretty docile.

sooooo not looking forward to getting a root canal tomorrow...
DENTISTS! Mine wants to crown a molar so first he had the one behind it pulled. Then he wants to do what you're having - maybe? He thinks maybe it can be filled first then crowned. It's like some game and we're the pawns, lol. Anyhoo, once done no more pain! With the meds they have now you should feel nada. Be well!

I like how the top/front is camouflaged in the straw. Pretty birds, fuzzy.

Any advice for a new chicken owner?
Hello, and welcome, stick around. There's a lot to learn, and it all gets covered in a year of weather and chick cycles.

We have 4 hens. One is a Wyandotte and one is a silkie. The Wyandotte is a year older, so the start of their relationship was rocky, but they're pals, now.

Hi skinnydragon, welcome to BYC and the Michigan thread

Sorry Silly, I have had one root canal and it was not that bad, sore for a few days. I did not have time to think about it though, had a tooth crack while they were removing a temporary crown and they did the root canal right on the spot. having to anticipate it seems to mak it a lot worse.

33'F here today & my ducks thought they'd gone to Heaven. I, of course, was slightly concerned about temps falling, but I figured that the feathers were looking rough, so it was necessary.

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone. Have a good day tomorrow.
