Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Well my Muscovy laid a 9th egg in her nest today, but for the 1st time, she actually covered the nest up with straw. I'm hoping that means she will keep these and sit on them soon. I don't know how long to let her keep laying and not gathering them to see if she will go broody.

Ladies do that when they get *serious* here!

Would there be any interest in american games at cs and if so what colors would be interesting? I have grays, hatches, sweaters and blues. Each has slightly different color patterns.

Opa, I'm very sorry about your dog. I know she was a valued companion.
Stacy, it sounds like a terrible experience for mama goat and you. I'm sorry to read this.

I'm loving the freedom that this weather has afforded us. No winter coats! We had a small ceremony when we threw away the kids' winter boots; they were in such rough shape this winter that we couldn't donate them. Our rhubarb is stretching, and the peonies are, too. I planted asparagus last year, and keep checking the patch for a sign of life.

My rhubarb is coming up but my asparagus is not... yet. Garlic is up, onions are up, strawberry plants are green. So far, so good.

Here are my Icelandic chicks. They're my little crazies, hard to catch, wily and fast.

The two road runners.

I love this little guy but I'm betting it's a boy and therefore going to the freezer. Just look at that tuft on 'his' head.

All four. The one on the left is a runt of sorts - had to help it out of the shell, smaller than the rest but catching up quick.
