Wow, contributors less than 10 minutes after I posted it.
I don't know what I ever did to get such good friends.
Ha, you no doubt meant this to be rhetorical. But we know what you did, Raz. Oh, we know.
I have an especially good personal story that encompassed the moving of the enormous and awkward Goose Chalet (an unused huge old dog house) from my friend's father's house to my house, involving Raz's truck, his manual labor, his expertise in loading and unloading this monster thing, most of a day of his life, driving some horrible long country roads to BFE and back, and probably permanent injury to his back--all based on on acquaintanceship strictly from BYC. And for three nesting seasons those geese have laid every egg in that house, and this last terrible winter they actually took shelter in it, and I am so grateful to have it. And I don't know if I would have even figured out a way to go pick it up, but Raz, who I barely knew, said,"Oh, no problem, I've got a truck, let's go pick it up."
How many times does he answer a gardening question or a bug question or jump in to help with a chicken question on BYC? Or how many times have you been entertained by his posts? OK. Sometimes we're laughing with him. Sometimes we're raising our eyebrows at the chicken groping. Other times we're just grateful that someone is going to all the Ag Commission Meetings and speaking up for the small farmer, time after time, because even though the system is rigged, it's the only system we have.
So why do you have so many good friends on this site (and I suspect all over), Randy? Because you've been a good neighbor and a good friend to all of us. I know Randy hates to have to ask, but just think how BYC and this thread in particular would be after 30 days of Raz withdrawal... Think about that for awhile, people, and then if you can spare just a few dollars, and Raz has helped you, or you just need him around for laughs, then head on over to his GoFundMe site.
