Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Went to rural king to get chicken feed today... wasn't expecting them to have chicks already. Came home with 6, 3 EE, 1 GLW, 1 SLW, 1 Light Brahma. We already had a brooder going with 4, DH noticed extras way too soon lol

Thanks everyone!
Hes a paint and splash cross and super fluffy.
I just adore him and will better in my pen with my other roos pongo and tribble.
Cant wait for chick season with my boys!!!
Now to start bettering my hens from poor quality to breed quality.

Are they better than TSC at getting the right breeds? All my favorite employees no longer work at the TSC in Paw Paw and most of the new employees know nothing about chickens. My husband loves Rural King. Maybe I will talk him into making a trip over there and act surprised when I see chicks...I already have four incubators full of chicken and quail eggs with approximately 50-60 chicks out in my brooder. I don't think a couple more will make a difference!

Trying to find someone to process a bunch of extra roosters that are ready to move out of the grow out pens! Any ideas?

Luckily hatched 7 chicks. Stuck at work at the incubator ran dry. The rest of the chicks shrink wrapped. This is my final incubation for the year. Happily though I have 6 Andalusians out of the bunch. 16/4 week old chicks, these guys, and another 26 on the way in a few weeks. Chickens chickens everywhere

very handsome !!! looks like you could pick him up and cuddle all day
Welcome glad you found us......:highfive:

ordered anew kayak, supposed to come today, said they would call 1/2 hr before hand, I hate sitting around, afraid to go any place or I may miss the call   really would like to get down and clean the poop boards, but they have my home phone and it wont reach that far.

Love the white roo, very handsome. are they large?

love chanteclares, I have 1 white hen and a partridge roo with 3 hens. they are a nice breed.   and hardy
Mine is very large, but he is the gentlest boy I've ever had.

First time getting chicks from there, so we'll find out. The EE were not labeled as such, thats just what I'm calling them.

Lost one chick already... my two year old managed to sneak away to laundry room, found him sitting inside the brooder, he squished one.
