What cha looking for (other than Ba---uffs?)> Brett has the panels to make another hoop coop that we will need if we decide on meat birds too. I am seriously considering getting some this year.

I do NOT want Chinese chicken!
Right now it's mostly Buff Orpingtons because they're the Brown chicken that Amy wants to see, lays brown eggs, and should be pretty calm and not freaking out about Belle. other than that, might just depend on what else they have there that day for Layers.

As for Meat Birds, I would like to get ahold of some Freedom Rangers, but I think I only want to do about 10 or 12 of them.

No chicks yet at TSC Saline, but they should be there next week they said.

Geeze...peak in here and everyone is talking about getting chicks! LOL! I am waiting another week or so...no more chicks in the house like last year. Only getting a few EasterEggers and some meat chicks...I must say once I committed to having my extra roosters processed instead of given away to be processed, I am now going to raise my own and know they are fed organic feed.

Must resist chicks...

Hope you all are doing well! Spring is coming!

Am struggling with the population plan for this year......mind is spinning!

What to hatch? Not had great luck finding hatching eggs of breeds I want, suspect the ones I have found (collecting eggs once a day in freezing temps?)
When to hatch? How many hatches to do and how to house them? Build hoop house, where to put it? Maybe buy some chicks-whatwhenwhere?
Which yearlings to cull? Which to keep? New cock this year? How to cull(eat or sell)? So many options!!

Maybe time to finish up other projects today and not stress it right now.
