Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Thanks! :) I went to the Chickenstock thread last night. Is Opa still around or Catray (I think that was her screen name)? I will keep you in mind. I was able to find someone who is NPIP in Vestaburg.

The Belgian d'Uccles are beautiful birds! I have never owned that breed before.

These days, I have a mish mash. lol My husband calls my flock the retirement home. I add younger birds only as needed anymore (usually 2 at at time, it seems). They live out their natural lives around here. So right now, I have some older ladies who really don't lay too much anymore. And some others of varying younger ages.

I still want some. I keep hoping Ill get sent near you for work but It hasn't happened yet. been confined to the office. a girl can hope though. maybe a road trip to chicken stock is in order assuming family or work doesn't interfere.

Opa has had to give up his chickens for health reasons. He had a stroke and his right side remains numb, so difficult to care of his chickens. Haven't seen Catray on here for forever. Sad that the oldies just kinda fade away. There's still a few of us "oldies" hanging in there and trying to keep things going. Look forward to chickenstock so we can sit and talk and meet new friends.
