Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I use to start shopping for Christmas in October when my grandkids were younger. Now all they want is gift cards, so it makes things a lot easier and less stressful. Not so much fun watching them open gift cards, tho. But, they get what they want.
Way to go RaZ! Ready to start putting the shingles on??

Garage roof is now completely protected from the elements. I still need to shingle it, but the synthetic felt will be good enough until I can complete it. I'm going to call around tomorrow to see if I can hire a crew. This hand of mine is just hurting too much to work with the hammer and nail gun every day.

If the rain holds off, I think I'll try to set some fence posts for the new coop tomorrow. The chicks are thriving in the grow-out pen. I'd like to give them some outside access before the weather gets really bad.

I hope all of my chicken friends are doing well. The thread has been pretty quiet lately. :caf

Can you call on your neighbor the contractor again, to put up the shingles? At least they showed up and got things done!
I'm so tired of this freakin rain. It sure has been a wet fall. Can't get too much done. Putting, no, trying to get a roof over the run and this weather sure makes it hard.
Did anyone else notice the trees don't have a lot of red leaves this year? At least not in these parts. Mostly gold. Bland looking.
Have a good day..

Getting any help up here is like pulling teeth. No one wants to work. It took 4 contractors and many broken promises and a month and a half to get the trusses up.

I had a few maples that were nice and red but only for a few days. The birch were a pretty yellow. The pine trees look nice, mixed in with the hardwoods. You can't even see the road or driveway. It's all a yellow/brown carpet of leaves. Wet slippery leaves.

At least I can work in the garage now. I can finally get the trim cut for the inside of the coop. Just need to get motivated to walk the 100 feet out to the garage in this wind and cold. They are predicting 3 inches of that white stuff on Friday. I should get the chains on the lawn tractor before then and the blade on the UTV.

So many chores and so little time. Even less motivation. LOL
