Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

So very true, RaZ. I get so frustrated with their forecasts. Predict these massive storms. I run around getting things batten down. And.... NOTHING!!! Happened too many times this summer alone.
Not ready for winter yet. Who could get ready in this endless rain?
Take care..

I never watch the talking heads on the tv weather, buncha drama queens.

Wunderground dot com for very local data,
weather station is 1 mile away and a friend maintains it,
even that close the rainfalls can vary drastically.

.....and Weather dot com for the best radar watching.

Who could get ready in this endless rain?
I Know, Right!!
2 more days to get hoses up, garlic in, and a hoop coop repair done for a friend.

I like wunderground as well. They have a dozen or more stations all over. The even have one that is 2 miles off shore. Even so, there can be a whole range of weather events taking place at the same time.

I have 2 home weather stations here. The one in the wooded area is usually cooler and less windy than the one along the power lines. That 100 foot clear-cut swath runs east-west and the wind can really roar along. The garage is situated so I can watch the sunset from within if the weather is nasty. Waiting to see a good thunder storm. :)

I supposed that talking about the weather is nothing more than a conversation starter.

I'm glad someone mentioned hoses. I have to gather mine and stow them away.

Sometimes there's nothing much else to talk about

Just took apart some small pneumatic tires that were installed on a hoop coop.
Both were flat, pumped 'em up and one wouldn't hold air...thought, hmmm, maybe put tubes in them.
I didn't realize they had tubes until I took apart the 4 bolts that held the wheel together and saw it(and the hole in it), after thinking quite awhile about how to pry the tire off to install tubes(DOH!), then read on the tire the word 'tube'. I am usually keen about detecting details in problem solving, other times I am just oblivious. SMH. There's more to the story but my hands are sore and don't want to totally bore y'all out anyway.
