Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Sam is on facebook. He's doing well. Went fishing a couple of times. Very opinionated on the elections. I stay away from talking about politics. I've seen friendships break up over a difference of opinion. Granny is in a senior care home now. Sam doesn't think she'll be coming home. But, she seems happy there.

I still have young girl ducks left to sell.
I've had a heck of a time selling female muscovy over here by Detroit.
I wanted to sell some OE pullets last week, thought they'd get scooped up...but nope.
I think folks are hesitant to add to flocks at this time of year, and rightly so.
At least I got the old hens in the freezer, can live with the numbers in the coop over winter.

Funny how everyone seemed to have to deal with hoses. I know I did. The Devil Dog puppy "helped". He dragged a 100' hose clear across the yard and down the driveway. Difficult to do chores with the "help" I get around here. At least all of the water got drained out of it. I'll put it away tomorrow.

I need to drill some post holes for the run but at least the coop is secure and ready for winter. The chicks are still in the brooder area and will be fine in the coop for the winter even if I don't get the run fenced. They are about 2 months old now.

I worked today so nothing was done around here. I'll have to get busy tomorrow before the snow and rain hit. 50% chance of accumulation by afternoon.

I wish I was closer to the people with pullets and ducks available. Now that I'm completely moved, I no longer want to drive anywhere further than a half hour. But if you want to bring your extra birds here I can accept them. ;)
